Beachfront Community Village
Who: Virginia Beach area businesses and organizations that offer services to the public. If you are for profit you need to accept Medicaid.
What: Set up your own 10′ x 10′ tent and share your organization’s mission.
When: During the 2016 Coastal Edge East Coast Surfing Championships, Setup Wednesday, August 24 – Breakdown Sunday, August 28
Time: Tents need to be staffed Thursday – Sunday 9am – 5pm
Why: Support your community through the Virginia Beach Jaycees by joining the Community Village. You may not sell anything or take donations but you may give away items to the public. Please do not give out stickers.
$10 payment is due at the time of registration. You are responsible for manning your own tent including weighing it down on the beach stakes will not work, tent setup and breakdown which includes cleaning up all trash at end of event. You may leave your tent setup overnight between August 24- August 27, to breakdown on August 28 at 5:00pm. If there is inclement weather your registration fee of $10 will not be refunded but donated to the Virginia Beach Jaycees charities. Proof of insurance is required for all events taking place on public property. The City of Virginia Beach and CE ECSC requires that
the both be named as an additional insured. All certificates of insurance must contain the following information:
1. Additionally insured: City of Virginia Beach and CE ECSC
2. Commercial General Liability coverage in the amount of $1,000,000 per occurrence.
The CE ECSC reserves the right to increase the insurance limits based on the nature and
degree of risks to the public.
